What is Massage?

Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues (muscles, skin and connective tissue, tendons ligaments and membranes) of the body to gain a therapeutic response. It provides a safe, drug free alternative to help deal with muscular pain and dysfunction.

Massage affects all systems of the body, most particularly circulatory (blood and lymph), muscular fascial and nervous systems. Massage therapy is also effective in the control of pain (chronic or acute), in stress reduction and in creating a sense of relaxation and well-being.

Our massage therapists are trained in Pregnancy Massage, Swedish Massage, Craniosacral, Acupressure, Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release, and Acupuncture.
